Bronze programme

Structure

Training consisting of 4 half-day (3 hour) sessions on Friday afternoons based at Bangholm then a qualifying expedition

Run from 1400 to 1700 and using the briefing room, main stores multi-use area and grounds.  There will also be an element of home study and route planning to complete.

Week 1: (19^th January): Stoves and menus/nutrition

Week 2: (26^th January): First-Aid and emergency procedures

Week 3: (2^nd February): Tents and rucksack use

Week 4: (9^th February): Half day walk with expedition packs on cycle routes by Bangholm, incorporating navigation exercises

Qualifier: Saturday 23^rd and Sunday 24^th March to allow public transport options.
