MOUNTAIN BIKING

The dramatic landscape surrounding Lagganlia has a rich assortment of trails from mellow forest tracks to exhilarating downhill trails. Mountain biking is an all-weather sport, fun in the sun and invigorating in the mud-splattered rain. Choose an introductory guided excursion, hire one of our instructors to help you improve your biking skills or let us put together a custom package to meet your aspirations and get on your bike.

ROAD CYCLING

Cairngorms National Park is an excellent location for road cycling. The Kincraig Loop route, a short 1-hour route, starts from the Inverdruie Visitor Centre and follows the B970 towards Feshiebridge. The Lecht road links the western and eastern sides of the Cairngorms National Park together. If you’re looking for a long distance ride, you can follow the National Cycle Network Route 7 along the Aviemore to Inverness trail. With a climb over the Garbole followed by the great descent down into Farr. There are some cycling events staged in the Cairngorms every year, and they attract competitors from around the UK and further afield.

Only a short ferry ride from Gourock, the Scottish west coast Cowal Peninsula boasts some of the best roads and scenery for cyclists in Scotland, with very few potholes due to less traffic these routes can be a road-cyclist dream. The Cowal Peninsula is an area of great beauty with hills, mountains, glens, lochs and rivers, which all add up to some challenging climbs and descents. You can find some great routes in and around Argyll at Fiona Outdoors website.
