LtL are doing what they do best: assisting in the education of children and encouraging connection with nature, physical exercise, learning and play through the great outdoors. They have a group on Facebook specifically for families – to deliver FREE weekly activities and play ideas. Also check out posts on the LtL website; recent writings on social distancing and getting outdoors includes some great tips and ideas.
Whilst the Scouts are usually associated with the great outdoors, they’ve pulled together some inspired indoor activity ideas to keep kids (and big kids!) entertained while schools are closed due to coronavirus. Keep your kids learning new skills and having fun (and avoid hearing ‘I’m bored’ every 30 seconds) all in #TheGreatIndoors.
The Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) invite you to join them for ‘Elevenses with RHET’.
Throughout the week the RHET team across Scotland are posting resources, activities and videos that you can participate in and watch from home. A great way to bring the great outdoors into your home!
ELGT’s Community Projects Officer & Healthy Lifestyles Officer, Ruth & Kim are using their Facebook page @outandabouted to lead live workouts for different audiences and to share recipes.
They are also reposting ideas from other organisations to connect people with nature through virtual walks, nature information and gardening and growing tips.
